Selective Service Registration
Although there is currently no military draft in the United States, almost all male citizens and resident aliens must register with the Selective Service System within 30 days of their 18th birthday. Failure to register may bar an individual from receiving student financial aid, job training, government employment, driver’s license and, for resident aliens, U.S. naturalization.
