The USS Mustin Paid a Port Call to Kota Kinabalu

The USS Mustin paid a port call to Kota Kinabalu from November 23 –25, 2009. During their visit to KK, American sailors enjoyed  their shore leave in town, and volunteered their time to participate in several community relations projects.   USS Mustin (DDG-89) is a Flight IIA Arleigh Burke class guided missile destroyer and the second ship in the Navy that honors the Mustin family, who have a rich and honorable tradition of service in the United States Navy.  The USS Mustin was commissioned in San Diego, California on July 26th, 2003.  The ship shifted homeports in 2006 to join the Forward Deployed Naval Forces within Destroyer Squadron 15, and is now based in Yokosuka, Japan, as part of the United States Seventh Fleet.
