Expanding Youth Engagement at the Lincoln Corner - Terengganu

Cultural Affairs Officer Nicholas Papp briefed 45 students and faculty members of University Technology MARA (UiTM) Terengganu Dungun Campus in a highly engaging and interactive multimedia presentation and discussion. He explained the importance of Lincoln in U.S. history, engaged students in delivering the Gettysburg Address, then discussed the power of global partnerships in addressing global issues. His presentation closed with the students breaking out into small groups to come up with solutions on how countries could work together to solve global issues such as climate change, terrorism, sources of renewable energy, pollution and HIV/AIDS discrimination.  The students remarked that they never knew Americans were so open to partnership. And they expressed a desire to work together in addressing many global issues, starting locally in their own communities.
