Prominent Muslim Academics Visit Lincoln Corner in KL

Muslim Teachers and students explore the Lincoln Corner in KL.

On November 10, 2009, 50 academics from the Selangor Islamic Teachers Training Institute visited the Lincoln Corner at the Kuala Lumpur library and reviewed the extensive collection on Islam in America.  Among the many materials the academics found of particular interest were the materials written by John Esposito, Yvonne Haddad, Imam Feisal, and the American Journal of Islamic Social Sciences.  The distinguished group was pleased to learn that the Lincoln Corner is a one-stop center for information about America’s cultural and social diversity.  The Selangor Islamic Teachers Training Institute plans to organize a month-long exhibit on Islam in America featuring several of the Lincoln Corner’s materials.
