Jeremy Abdul Malik Stern Engages with Budding Filmmakers

Muslim-American filmmaker and music producer Jeremy Abdul Malik Stern visited Malaysia from August 26 to September 14, 2012. Mr. Stern was here as part of a grant from Public Affairs Kuala Lumpur to teach and engage with young budding filmmakers in Malaysia.  This program enabled him to train 20 young filmmakers from the Faculty of Film, Arts and Theatre at the University of Technology Mara (UiTM).  The three weeks he spent with the students was a life shattering experience for most of these students as they immersed themselves in the world of film making.   In the course of the three weeks, the students have made a documentary that will be ready by end of this year, and will be screened in public places in Malaysia.
