Kedah Students Enjoy English Enrichment Activities at Lincoln Corner

On June 10th, a group of 73 students from several different schools throughout Kedah participated in an English Enrichment Camp at the Lincoln Corner of the State Public Library in Kedah.  Led by American Embassy representatives, the English enrichment program focused on helping students improve their English language speaking, reading, and writing skills.  The students worked enthusiastically on improving their English language skills and understanding of American culture through various activities and games involving library research, American idioms, environmental awareness, American folk music, and popular American sports.   With the FIFA World Cup set to start this week, students were particularly interested in America’s role in international soccer. 

Over the course of the day students exclaimed that they not only developed more confidence in their English speaking skills but also learned the value of group cooperation and leadership.
