U.S. EMBASSY TO CLOSE FOR COLUMBUS DAY

The U.S. Embassy will be closed on Monday, October 14, to observe the American national holiday of Columbus Day. This holiday commemorates the Italian navigator Christopher Columbus, who first landed in the New World in 1492. All Embassy services, including visa and American passport and notary services will resume operation on Tuesday, October 15. During the holiday period, visa applications for temporary travel to the U.S. can be deposited with travel agencies or at the Embassy front gate on Jalan Tun Razak. The Embassy phone number for after-hours emergencies for American citizens is (03) 2168-5000.
