U.S. Book Collection Donated to Malaysia's Southeast Asia Regional Counter-Terrorism Center

Ambassador James Keith presented a set of reference materials and books about counter-terrorism for the library at the Southeast Asia Regional Centre for Counter-Terrorism (SEARCCT) on Tuesday, April 22. Ambassador Hussin Nayan, director of SEARCCT, accepted the new materials, valued at more than 15,000 Malaysian ringgit. The collection contains award-winning specialized material designed to augment SEARCCT's growing research library. The United States has partnered with SEARCCT many times since it opened its doors in 2003, including sponsorship of 40% of its counterterrorism training courses.
