U.S. Federal Tax Information and Forms

American citizens must file federal income tax returns even if they live and work overseas. However, you may be entitled to various deductions, exclusions and credits. Your resource for information on U.S. taxes is the Internal Revenue Service. For state tax forms and information, find your state at www.firstgov.gov and then go to that state's tax section.

Consular section employees are prohibited from giving advice about income tax filing or preparation.
