General information
Welcome! The American Citizen Services (ACS) unit provides information
and assistance to U.S. citizens in Malaysia, including
passport and citizenship services and
birth registrations for U.S. citizen children born abroad.
Notary and authentication services,
and information on visiting, living
or working in Malaysia,
marriage in Malaysia,
driving in Malaysia,
voting by absentee
ballot, Federal
Benefits (i.e. Social Security), etc. are also available.

Program for U.S. Citizens Overseas
Our
International Travel Information program is
the cornerstone of
our efforts to keep the
American traveling public aware of problems threatening their
safety and security while overseas. As the Department continues to develop information
on any potential security threats to U.S. citizens overseas,
it shares credible threat information through this International
Travel Information
program. In addition to our Internet information, travelers may
obtain up-to-date information on security conditions by calling
1-888-407-4747 toll-free in the United States or outside the United States
and Canada on a regular toll line at 1-317-472-2328.

electronic or photographic equipment is permitted in our waiting
room or on other Embassy premises.
