AMCHAM-MACEE Awards $20,000 Scholarship to MAlaysian Student
The American Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) Annual Awards Ceremony was held on July 28 in the AMCHAM office. The Acting Deputy Chief of Mission, Mr. Brian McFeeters presented a mock check representing a scholarship award of U.S. $20,000 to Low Lishan, the 2010 recipient.

Workshops to Help Malaysian Forest Products Companies
At the opening ceremony, Acting Deputy Chief of Mission, Brian McFeeters noted the benefit of international legislation to Malaysia. “The amended U.S. Lacey Act is an important tool in helping Malaysia enforce its own laws governing trade in timber and timber products,” he said.

English Writing Camp for Terengganu Students
Supported by the U.S. Embassy and local schools, twelve Fulbright English Teaching Assistants (ETAs) in Terengganu hosted a two-day English Writing Camp from July 21 to 22. This camp was held for the winners of a school-wide LAUNCH (Learning and Unveiling New Creative Horizons) writing competition.
